The visas can be received only over RAK Free Zone onshore companies. UAE RAK ICC Offshore companies are not eligible to apply for residency any types of residency visas.
RAK Free Trade Zones Authorities provide the visa sponsorship duly licensed companies registered in such Free Trade Zones.
The maximum number and types of visas which can be issued depends on the type of the license, scope and scale of operations, size and type of facilities.
The following visa types are available for RAK Free Trade Zone companies:
- Investor visas - for company shareholders / owners. Such visas regularly are valid for up to 3 years. In order to keep the validity of such visa one cannot be absent from UAE for more than 6 consecutive month. Investor / partner who wishes to sponsor their families need to provide the confirmation on the availability of min. AED 75,000;
- Employment Visas for company directors / managers or company employees. Such visas regularly are valid for up to 3 years. In order to keep the validity of such visa one cannot be absent from UAE for more than 6 consecutive month;
- Family Visas for the persons from paragraph above. Such visas regularly are valid for up to 3 years whereby the validity of such visas are linked to the validity of the relative over whom the family visa is received. In order to keep the validity of such visa one cannot be absent from UAE for more than 6 consecutive month;
- Visit Visas for the business partners or relatives. One-time visit visa which allows only short stay in UAE with the maximum validity 30 or 90 days depending on the visa type and applicable regulations for different citizenships.
The types of the RAK Free Trade Zone visas above are subject to the respective UAE governmental rules and regulations depending upon individual requirements and eligibility criteria.
